Data You Send
Names, phone numbers, or addresses entered into a search widget go to the third-party provider that supplies the sponsored results. American Fork Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search entries on its own servers. If you contact the operator, the message and any details in it are used to respond.
Automatic Log Data
Hosting providers may record an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps in ordinary server logs. Aggregate review may help keep the pages available and show which resources are useful. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Information sent in a message is used for communication. Aggregate traffic data supports site maintenance. Search providers may apply their own policy to submitted queries. No account is required, and the directory does not sell a resident profile assembled from your searches.
External Resources
Links lead to Utah County, American Fork, Utah state, library, court, USPS, and archive services. Those offices and providers have separate privacy statements, terms, and retention practices. Review the policy at the destination before submitting information.
Who Can Receive Data
Hosting and technical providers may process server logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive automatic traffic information where enabled. Information may be disclosed when valid legal process requires it. A message is not shared beyond those purposes except as needed to operate or protect the service.
Security Practices
Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used for the small amount of information handled by the service. No internet transmission or storage method is guaranteed secure. Avoid sending sensitive identifiers in a message.
Children Under 18
The service is not directed to children under 18. Do not submit a child's personal information through a search widget or contact message.
Your Choices
You may choose not to use a search widget or send a message. For a government record, correction, redaction, or address-confidentiality question, contact the actual custodian. Utah's Consumer Privacy Act took effect December 31, 2023, but the researched Department of Commerce page does not support a promise of a particular data-broker deletion or opt-out result. Utah Safe at Home and county at-risk voter routes are record-specific protections.
Policy Updates
This policy may change as the service, vendors, or Utah requirements change. The revised version takes effect when posted here. The page should be checked before sending information.
